Praia Bare is home to a small, friendly, local community. We challenge you to ever be bored sitting on one of our decks but if you feel you must get some exercise then you can swim directly off your private dock or from the sheltered beach (pictured) - you might be lucky and see our resident turtle/tartaruga. If you want to wander further afield by foot then you can walk along the coastal path, or for a more strenuous ramble follow the path around the headland to the idyllic beach of Praia Vermelha, which has a small restaurant on it with some essential cold beer supplies!
The historic port of Paraty, with its preserved centre of cobblestone streets and Portuguese colonial architecture, is 10 minutes away by fast boat. The town offers excellent facilities for shopping, restaurants and further excursions to islands, fantastic beaches, and activities such as fishing, diving and trekking. The town hosts numerous Festivals, including Jazz, Food, and Film, the best known being the International Literary Festival (Festa Literaria Internacional de Paraty, FLIP).
